I am honored that a majority of my business comes from repeat clients and referrals from my past clients. After 30 years selling homes in Central Texas, I've had the privilege of working with many families over and over again! However, I look forward to working with new clients too, especially those who are new to my hometown of Waco. My experience in the Waco residential market and my network of connections allows my clients to benefit in many ways. My specialty is selling upscale residential homes and investment property. Over the last few years, I had the privilege of working with a local builder to develop an entire subdivision of single family rental homes and was able to sell every one of them to investors for whom we already managed other properties. It was a great experience to be able to provide brand new properties for our clients’ portfolios and also add to the 750+ units that we manage through our affiliate company, Shamrock Property Management.
Passion, Advocacy & Home
I'm a Waco native, and attended Waco ISD schools and MCC before graduating from Baylor University. I had the privilege of playing golf for Richfield High School, MCC, and Baylor and still maintain lifelong friendships from those years! I still enjoy playing competitive golf and in 2019 competed in my first national amateur tournament as a senior golfer… and won! While golf is my passion, I’ve also spent time over the years volunteering for the Advocacy Center, the WISD Education Foundation, and the Ridgewood Country Club board of directors.

Why on earth would someone give up a perfectly good career as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional after years of training and study and grueling certification exams in order to sell real estate? Because I absolutely LOVE it! I had the privilege of working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals for nearly 15 years prior to becoming a real estate agent. One thing I consistently noticed is that housing issues are often one of the biggest financial concerns, especially for millennials.
I'm thrilled to be able to use my expertise in financial planning to help my first-time buyers navigate the journey from renting to owning a home. Plus, I’m obsessed with home remodeling and decor - I could spend hours poring over paint chips or wandering through furniture stores and I’m also pretty handy with a nail gun!
Home is on both sides of the river
I grew up in Louisiana and moved to Waco to attend Baylor University. I’ve got a great sign in my office that a friend had made for me that says “Home is on both sides of the river” and it’s so true! I love Texas as if I were a native, but I also love making regular trips to Louisiana to indulge in some good old Cajun food! After graduating from Baylor, I worked as a local television news anchor.
You may remember me as Ellen Bordelon on the KWTX-TV morning show! Although I only spent three short years in the news business, the experience allowed me to get to know the Central Texas area and its residents very well. I'm married to John, a successful REALTOR® and the best business partner I could ask for. We have four rescued miniature schnauzers: Tyson, Rachel, Peanut, and Truman.
If you stop by our office, there’s a good chance you’ll find one of them hanging around! When I'm not working or at home with the dogs, you can find me at Baylor women's basketball games, volunteering for the Junior League of Waco, or cruising Lake Waco on my sailboat!
